Description of the project

Prestige International Consortium partnered with a NGO in Sub-Saharan Africa to create a strategic plan to attract donors. The goal was to secure funding, expand the project’s reach across rural communities, and drive long-term sustainability through provision of skills training for the development of women and girls.

The Problem

The local NGO space face significant challenges in securing donor funds to support developmental needs. While the demand for gender skills development in rural areas was growing, local NGOs that have a rich knowledge of the communities struggled with attracting donor funds, a lack of regional partners, and inefficient deployment of resources due to lack of the ability to provide matching funds.

The Strategy

Prestige International Consortium developed a strategic plan using the management by value approach. In addition, a strategic roadmap that included a combination of partnerships, grant funding, and investment from international stakeholders. By identifying key donor opportunities and optimizing NGO operations, we crafted a detailed strategic plan that focused on expanding gender based skills training access in rural areas. This included capacity building, establishing strong board of directors, and partnerships with local governments to ensure long-term project success and sustainability
